Join me in supporting powerful, lasting impact in the lives of young artists and their communities.

It's so hard to be a kid in America right now, but especially if you're a kid of color, a queer kid, or a kid that doesn't always fit in.

Arts on the Block nurtures the natural creativity of creative kids in the area and helps them discover and apply their talents towards sustainable careers.

Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal for Arts on the Block

Arts on the Block (AOB) is a community arts organization based in Silver Spring, MD that connects creative young people with opportunities to design and create works of public art, allowing them to get job training while beautifying their communities, all either paid or at no cost.
AOB is a haven created by and for creative kids. In a political climate increasingly hostile to queer kids, AOB provides its young artists (most of whom are people of color and many of whom are trans) the ability to create a space for themselves and for one another to safely explore, create, and flourish.
AOB's programs give young people ownership they don't have in other spaces. While on a national scale rights are being taken away, AOB's programs foster participants' leadership, agency, and power to design not just beautiful massive artworks, but also their environments, their communities, and their futures.
AOB is one of the few nonprofit organizations that I truly believe in inside and out because the organization acts upon its values in an authentic and impactful way. That's why I'm raising $800 with a stretch goal of $1k that will go directly to wildly impactful programs, and I hope you'll join me!
